The Nordic countries place special emphasis on the common challenges they face with regard to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs. Will the young Nordics commitment, knowledge and innovation capacity bring about a strong Nordic-Baltic partnership for a sustainable future? The high material consumption levels are affecting the region’s performance negatively in international comparisons on SDG 12.

There is a lot of room for improvement if the countries are to achieve this goal by 2030. The realisation of the 2030 Agenda requires partnership and cooperation across the national and political borders. How can Nordic- Baltic multilateral cooperation give leverage to transformative actions? Are children and youth the real game changers?

Welcome to a seminar hosted by Global Utmaning, Finlandsinstitiutet, LSU and Nordic Council of Ministers!
